Letters and tintypes, 1881-1884.

Thirteen letters written by Oldham in Clarksville, Tenn., to his cousin M. Ellar Eidson, in Robertson County, Tenn.. The letters, 1881-1883, pertain to their courtship and Frank Oldham's marriage proposal. Ellar evidently did not reciprocate his affection and discontinued corresponding with him. Also includes one tintype of Oldham and one of Eidson.
